Sutton Projects successfully tendered for works to replace the existing skylight above the main entrance to Barnet General Hospital. Works entailed installation of a new unit complete with fully automated, actuator powered smoke opening vents.
To enable the project, Suttons required the assistance of our specialist supply chain partners, which involved craning the incoming skylight and associated components over the main building, to the roof garden located within the centre of the site. A waterproof crash deck was constructed internally to seal the opening upon removal of the redundant skylight.
Following installation associated fabric and electrical upgrades were completed. We engaged our specialist fire alarm contractor in order to facilitate the necessary fire alarm and smoke detection enhancements. Full internal decorations were conducted in order to finalise the project.
